Who – Altrusais an international organization dedicated to making our communities better by fostering volunteerism and service projects. We have a particular focus on literacy. Locally, we are a club of approximately 45 women who volunteer, in groups and individually, in schools, the soup kitchen, shelters, senior centers and wherever our interests and concerns take us. Our service committee receives grant proposals from area nonprofits. The money from the raffle will fund those grants for the coming year as well as college scholarships and a take- away library at DCF in Willimantic.
